Working closely with the Client we led the planning strategy, including preparation and coordination of the Environmental Statement and submission of the hybrid application on this unallocated site. The proposals were for approx. 2,100,000 sq ft of strategic storage and distribution floorspace, delivering a significant strategic employment opportunity for the region.

We helped lead the extensive pre-application and post-submission dialogue with the LPA and key consultees over a protracted determination period. Acting on behalf of our client, we played a leading role throughout the Appeal process and ultimately helped secured consent following an appeal inquiry following non-determination by the Local Planning Authority, albeit we ultimately secured officer support who recommended the LPA’s position should be to approve.
