This Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project recently obtained a Development Consent Order (DCO) and work has now started on site.

 

Oxalis worked with Roxhill Developments on the preparation and submission of the DCO application including assembling the necessary planning and design information and coordinating the preparation of the Environmental Statement.  Oxalis also took the lead role in the coordination of the extensive public consultation process.

 

Key components of the scheme:

 

• 6 million sq ft of rail served warehousing;
• an intermodal freight terminal;
• a new rail line connecting the terminal to the Castle Donington freight only line;
• significant improvements to J24 and J24a of the M1;
• a new Kegworth bypass;
• earthworks and landscaping to substantially screen the buildings from view.
