Oxalis

Edwalton

Nottinghamshire

Oxalis acted for a Consortium of Landowners and house builders Bovis Homes, Barratt Homes and Taylor Wimpey on the promotion of this strategic urban extension.

This has involved promotion through the Local Plan process culminating in the allocation of the site and its removal from the Green Belt.  Oxalis subsequently worked with the Local Authority to put in place a Development Framework SPD  (Supplementary Planning Document)  covering the whole site, which has enabled detailed applications to be submitted.

Oxalis worked with Bovis Homes on the submission and approval of a detailed application for 386 dwellings and the submission of an outline application for 600 dwellings.

Early phases of the development are now complete and occupied, with construction ongoing.

The scheme consists of:-

  • 1500 dwellings;
  • a new local Centre including food store;
  • office and commercial floor space;
  • a new primary school;
  • major highway works;
  • a new community park;
