Aerofabrications - Green Belt Employment Expansion

Oxalis successfully gained consent on this Green Belt site to enable the expansion of Aero Fabrications, a supplier to the aerospace industry based in Watnall, Nottinghamshire.  Aero Fabrications urgently required expansion space, but, due to the technical peculiarities of the aerospace industry, needed to remain at their existing site.  They required an appropriately sensitive scheme which would physically link to their existing units.

 

Oxalis took the lead role in the preparation and submission of a 'hybrid' planning application to enable Aero Fabrications to develop the site in two distinct phases.  The application comprised full details of the immediately required expansion space, which included new industrial space and office accommodation, and outline information for potential future expansion space.  Oxalis's role in preparation of the application included leading on public consultation which informed the evolution of the proposals before the final scheme was submitted.
